sanyasi Posted September 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) POST DATE: September 1, 2010 Apple announced today that an improved operating system would be available for the iPad sometime in November. One feature will be folders. I have seen nothing that enlightens me as to what exactly this means, but I am hoping it means that users have more control over the files (including photos) on the iPad without the need to make adjustments while connected to a computer. If anyone knows more about this or learns anything in the coming days, I would appreciate it if you would post the information to this thread. Advertisement Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Hi sanyasi, Take a look here iPad and Folders. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted September 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 2, 2010 Folders has nothing to do with data. It allows you to organise apps into folders, so for example you could put all your photography apps in one folder on the screen. I use it on my iPhone and it's a good way of organising things. There are a max of 12 apps allowed in a folder, and you can't have subfolders. Of more interest to me is the fact that you'll be able to print wirelessly, so no need to buy any of those printing apps - provided you can wait until November. sanyasi Posted September 2, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 2, 2010 Thanks. Apple confirmed your point when I spoke to them on another issue earlier today. Jack Siegel
