super7668 Posted September 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Once I put the battery in, there's no amber light, just the green light keep flashing. I don't even know if the battery was charging. Any advise? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Hi super7668, Take a look here is the battery or the charger?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
super7668 Posted September 1, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted September 1, 2010 The battery seems working fine in the M8, but no matter how hard I use it, the charger still show flashing green light.
Gerard Posted September 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 1, 2010 After a long stint in the charger, what does the charge indicator show on your camera?
super7668 Posted September 1, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted September 1, 2010 After a long stint in the charger, what does the charge indicator show on your camera? I don't have time to use the M8 heavily these two days; however I can't find anything about the flashing green light in the M8 menu. What does it mean? don_panko Posted September 2, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 2, 2010 Usually a fault condition signalled by a charger indicates that the battery is bad or the battery has over heated during the charging cycle. If you can find another M8 user or a photo shop with a M8 charger, see if the same fault occurs with a different charger. You probably need a new battery. You probably need a new battery. pattern batteries sometimes give problems, the chip in the cell fails to communicate with the charger, I've had 2 fail, but at 9x cheaper than a Leica I'm till well ahead. The genuine battery list price is plain silly, and even they go wrong sometimes.

zipper Posted September 22, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 22, 2010 I just had another battery go out of the blue, pattern cells seem to last well enough, but the charge indicator bar doesn't register charge condition (looks fully charged all the time) - the battery then just fails unexpectedly...
