Advertisement Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Hi vicpeh, Take a look here X1 - parameters in LR3.2/ACR6.2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
phancj Posted September 1, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2010 I do bum up vibrancy and clarity by 15 too (or more if required) and reduce saturation by some amounts depending. BTW, did you upgrade to LR3 from the free copy with the X1? I havent done tat yet. Is LR3 substantially better and in what way?
RichardM8 Posted September 1, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 1, 2010 Yes, LR3 is substantially better than the previous version. A must upgrade imo. After some 10 years intensive use of photoshop, I didn't even install it anymore when I moved to a new PC. Lightroom 3 covers 95% of my needs. Very good. I just bought Nik's complete suite a month ago, any incompatibility with LR3? Thats a big concern since now I am finding Nik's easy to use. How much for the LR3 upgrade and is the free copy of LR2 with the X1 good for the upgrade? Thanks!
RichardM8 Posted September 1, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 1, 2010 I'm not sure about the upgrade from LR2 to LR3 with the voucher that comes with the X1. I upgraded to LR3 before I bought the X1. From what I see & tried myself and what I read in various reviews around the web, LR3/ACR6 is the current benchmark RAW converter. Next to this I really love the 'all in one program' capabilities from LR. Extensive image management, editing, presentation through slideshows and webgalleries, export, it's all there. And most important of all, the non-destructive editing. No matter what you do with you images, the original source files always remain untouched. Love it. andybarton Posted September 1, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 1, 2010 If you used the free SN for LR2 from Leica, normal upgrade prices apply to go to LR3

Last week I bought LR3 upgrade and all I needed to do was install it and add LR3 serial number ( came with the purchse of course) and LR2 serial number (I got it from Leica). I did not even needex to have LR2 installed in the computer to do the upgrade. Since I am/was an Aperture 3 user, I did not installed LR2 when I got my X1, so I went straight to LR3.
