unitedhowl Posted September 25, 2010 Author Share #61 Â Posted September 25, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have decided to go out and get the X1 early next month. Â I don't own a digital camera, so this will be my first, the time has come - don't think I can wait for an x2 or fuji. Went and tried out the x1 again for the third time today and I like it, felt surprisingly comfortable to use, similar to my minilux. Will take some getting used to - having an LCD, will get the VF too. I really hope I don't end up using the X1 so much that all the film in my fridge goes to waste! Â Will report back once I've got it.

phancj Posted September 26, 2010 Share #62 Â Posted September 26, 2010 If 35mm is adequate, I believe you should sell your films.
fotohuis Posted September 26, 2010 Share #63 Â Posted September 26, 2010 Well, you can wait forever buying the latest digital camera. The X1 is a nice concept, maybe too nice because Fuji copied it and added a few new features. It's like Olympus 4/3 PEN and Panasonic, Sony. Within a year after introducing the PEN E-P1 there are all improved simmular type of cameras available now. They made a nice concept too and look what happened..... Â But that doesnt stop many posts in the forum heralding the Fuji as the greatest thing since camera was invented. Â That is, without having seen an actual single photo from the camera. Â Amazing! Tsungtak Posted October 1, 2010 Share #65 Â Posted October 1, 2010 Do you ever notice on this forum and other forums how the people that don't own the X1 are the ones that complain and compare it to other cameras. And now they they speak of the X100.... being the Leica X1 KILLER. Being a X1 owner, this at first made me upset and defensive. Now I have decided that all these non X1 owners who want the X100 to stomp the X1 are just envious. I think Leica and those who own the X1 should be flattered by Fuji for trying to make a camera that Leica came out with FIRST. Â Also notice the lack of creativeness even in the name, X100, they could have come up with a better name. From all the talk at Photokina about the X100, I know there are a lot of envious people out there. Â But I have to say the X100 makes a nice poor man's choice for a M9. But not a X1.
