JosefSchachner Posted August 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some people seem to have problems with delivery times, I ordered a kit on July 27, and received it about 10 days later, a very good turnaround time for any order US->Euro, Morgan was very responsive and everything worked great. Can definitely recommend this: CameraLeather.com Custom camera leather and leatherette And on a sitenote: shipping is very reasonably priced, not the usual rip-off cheers Josef

Jaybob Posted August 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 17, 2010 I am a huge fan. I never expect anything before two and a half weeks, mostly because he's got the BEST stuff, and I'm not the only person in the world who wants it. This is my M2 with Natural Grain Kid leather in Walnut. It's ridiculously nice. Worth every second I waited.
JosefSchachner Posted August 18, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted August 18, 2010 I went with: "VH Black Pebbled Vinyl (a.k.a. Hasselblad Black)" its a little finer grained as the original M3 Vulcanite and has a slightly softer feel to it, its also not as shiny. It is a nuance thinner than the original stuff. Peeling the old cover off is the main effort, maybe the paint remover I had was not strong enough. Just as an indication, it took me about 3hrs to get the cover off, an other hour about to remove all the glue remnants. It took all of 5min to glue the new covers on (works like a normal sticker, just pull the backing foil off and stick them on. Instructions are on the webpage. cheers Josef

menos I M6 Posted August 20, 2010 Share #6 Posted August 20, 2010 So a praise thread to Morgan then? I am with you guys! I was completely undecided, for what material I wanted and what would fit best for assembling on my R-D1. Morgan took the time and effort, to explain to me all the details and helped me, to decide. After order and payment has been done, I received the goods within days. Very reasonably priced, best service, great delivery time and quality! Any more leather I need, I will get it from Morgan.
