mgreernz Posted August 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been using Delta 100 and 400, but am currently away and have misjudged how much I should have taken with me. As could be expected, buying more from a local outlet is impossible. But they do have some Fuji Neopan SS 100. But the packets are not labelled as ACROS as I would have expected. Is it the same? Or is it an entirely different product? Expiry seems OK: Nov 11.
Advertisement Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Hi mgreernz, Take a look here Fuji Neopan SS 100asa. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Leigh Youdale Posted August 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 17, 2010 As far as I can make out, the Acros is similar technology to Delta whereas the SS product is closer to FP4+. The Fuji literature makes a clear distinction between grain size, type, and definition for each of the films. However, I haven't used either (the first roll of Acros is still in my camera). chris_livsey Posted August 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 18, 2010 It is a different product. It is "old school film", both meanings :-) Comments from someone who uses a lot of film and whose opinion I would trust not having used it myself. http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=633691&postcount=5 Neopan SS a classical cubic-crystal type emulsion (kinda like FP4+, Plus-X, etc.). Acros a modern flat-crystal type emulsion (like Delta 100 or TMax100).
