Free LR3 - can it be moved to another Mac?

Have just got my M9 and about to download LR3 free. However might be getting a new Macbook soon, so will I be able to transfer the licence from this one to new one? thanks

I have also downloaded LR3 to one MacBook, and planning to buy a new MBP. Now, if I remember correctly, with the license came with a new camera, you can download up to TWO computer... I may be wrong, and if so, I need to move mine as well.

You can use Lightroom on two computers at any one time - and the same serial number is valid on both Windows and Apple machines.

 

When you are about to switch deactivate Lightroom on the old computer - Help>Deactivate, and then activate it on the new. This will prevent one of the two licenses being wasted.

Yes you can and in fact there is no deactivation arrangement for Lightroom. The EULA permits installation on two machines but there is no manual activation/deactivation per se (unlike with Photoshop)

So to move to another machine you just load a copy and fill in the serial number. The licence conditions require that you remove it from the old machine of course.

Or, if you use Migration Assistant when you start up your new Mac, you won't need to install anything.
