Incredible IQ and sharpness for the ISO setting and handheld with the slow shutter speed. Great colors, composition and sharpness.

I must say that I'm very impressed with the improvement in IQ at high ISO that seems to have resulted from the introduction of firmware 1.138.

 

With the earlier firmware I kept the camera set on ISO 160 for most of my shots and only went up as far as 640 when absolutely necessary. Now I'm keeping the camera set on auto ISO so as to maximise depth of field - important for much of the work I do around the railway.

 

However, I still need my D700 with the 16-35 zoom at ISO 6400 for some situations...
