Jeff S Posted August 10, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought S2 users (I'm not one) might be interested...Lightroom 3.2 - Adobe Labs (There are a host of bug fixes for non-S2 users as well, so perhaps this will be discussed on other LUF sections.) Advertisement Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hi Jeff S, Take a look here Lightroom 3.2....S2 Support. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
01af Posted August 10, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2010 Of course, the S2 was supported by previous versions of Lightroom and Camera Raw—after all, it's DNG format—but the crrent 3.2 versions include improved noise and colour profiles.

Yep, exactly as the link points out (by asterisk footnote). Jeff
hoppyman Posted August 11, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2010 That is interesting. The S2 is not exactly common. I guess that there has been a special effort to loan Adobe a camera to get the profile produced. I have 50 or so S2 images in DNG and JPEG versions from a trial. I shall install LR3.3 on my laptop copy of LR3 (to avoid any possible issues with my main installation and an RC) and report if I can see any significant differences in the rendering. Just noticed, it also fixes the bug where catalog imports from my laptop to my desktop failed if I also had the files duplicated. This is a big fix for me travelling with my laptop and using it as a reservoir and first edit on new photos. Excellent!
kidigital Posted August 11, 2010 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2010 Colors were a little vibrant (especially the reds and greens) in the earlier version. This new update is much better. The colors look very close to what I'm getting with the M9 .... and that's a good thing. Kurt
JMacD Posted August 11, 2010 Share #6 Posted August 11, 2010 I did a quick test of LR3.2 on a single poorly exposed stress test image and I like 3.2 versus 3.0 and big time over 2.5. See quick samples here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/people/135036-s2-lr-3-2-vs-3-a.html#post1410638 the work flow for 3.0 and 3.2 is much better than 2.5. Well worth the $99. Kurt, this was to save you from time away from your shooting having to do a test for the folks on the other forum. Now back to my shooting...
