Are the super wide R lenses the "sleepers" of the Leica line?

Vick,

Great sleepers!

I have a 28mm elmarit and it has been a fantastic lens, even at full aperature, good sharp images, better results across the image when stopped down to f8.

The R series lens to the average leica photographer is equally as good as the m equivalent focal length. Unless you are doing enlargements greater than 20x16" than you would be hard pressed to any difference.

I use several R lens on a R4 and RE and achieve excellent results. Fellow leica R users use a 19mm and it's characteristics enable close focusing and pin sharp results.

Long live the R series!
