lars_bergquist Posted July 31, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2010 Nice images. But when my M9 finally meets my 'Lux, I will construct a focusing target out of book spines stacked 'in echelon' to the rear. With the camera on a tripod, I will shoot a series of pictures with progressively smaller apertures, compensation exposure by the Auto setting. Then I will see if the definition at the plane of intended focus holds, improves or deteriorates over the sequence of images! There is nothing like sound scientific procedure to drive you nuts. Jeff S Posted July 31, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 31, 2010 The bokeh that has been reported to be a bit funky occurs with some specular highlights, for example by Puts...see here in second set of photos, red post box He calls it "a bit unruly." Other pics with specular highlights might be interesting here. Jeff

thompsonkirk Posted August 1, 2010 Share #10 Posted August 1, 2010 But Jeff, I don't think that's bokeh – those must be white grapes for us to pick from Erwin's tree. Kirk
