LVSBB6 Posted July 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) With this lens, I find when the focusing ring is fully rotated to infinity position, the picture does not focus to infinity correctly. The focusing ring needs to be dialed back just a hair to get it focus correctly to infinity. Is this normal? Reason I ask it because with my other R lens, infinity focus is very accurate when the focusing ring is turned to the end to the infinity position, I don't even need to check through the viewfinder. Not uncommon among long lenses. My 180mm f/2.8 APO, 280mm f/4 APO and Nikon 300mm f/4.5 ED all do this too. This allows infinity focus in thermal extremes.
