doublep Posted July 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just purchased this tiny little lens and I find it great. It's very compact, a little bit slow, but I find the colour reproduction to be excellent. Does anyone have any advice as to how to code it on the M9 ? I have been using the setting of the Summicron Asph. Here are a first few photos taken with it. Nothing of artistic value but it can give you an idea of how the lens renders the scene. Advertisement Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hi doublep, Take a look here Zeiss 35mm Biogon-C f2.8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
scottwallick Posted July 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2010 I also coded this lens as a pre-ASPH Summicron 35. I like this lens so much I went ahead and remove the flange and used a Dremel to make the six recesses, then filled those with black and white Rustoleum paint. Great lens, no complaints. richfx Posted July 29, 2010 Share #3 Posted July 29, 2010 I originally coded it manually as a 35mm Summicron pre-ASPH. I then bought Tim Isaac's Decoder 2.0 kit and coded it as a 35mm Summarit. Both work well, and I'm not sure that there's a noticeable difference in IQ between both codes (at least that I've seen in the two weeks I've owned it). This lens is tremendous - I love everything about it. Rich
