aesop Posted July 21, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted July 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) ...any ideas on how long it will keep before it starts to deteriorate? I am talking pre-exposure, and the assumption is that storage conditions are perfect. Â Real-world examples most welcome.
Advertisement Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Hi aesop, Take a look here Ilford Ilfobrom Galerie FB paper query. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Bateleur Posted July 21, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted July 21, 2010 A lot depends on the storage conditions, the usual "cool dry place" applies. To my knowledge there is a risk of speed loss if you store the paper for a protracted period of time say for longer than 10 years. In my experience with Agfa brovira paper I made perfect prints with paper that had been stored in indifferent conditions for around 20 years. Refer to http://www.kodak.com/global/en/consumer/products/techInfo/e30/e30.pdf for additional information. Always run a few test prints on opening a pack of paper after storage to determine its sensitivity. Â Regards Charles
Xmas Posted July 21, 2010 Share #3  Posted July 21, 2010 The only significant problem is fog, you will need the organic and inorganic anti fogging agents (inorganic or organic dependent on developer you use) after you keep then too ling.  if your shots are all London pea soups then you wont have a problem  Noel
