linking to a photo in your gallery

Yes, there is.

 

  1. Go to the page in your gallery containing the image.
  2. Right-click on your image and "copy the url of this image"
  3. Go to the appropriate subforum
  4. Start writing your post
  5. In extended mode, select the icon for placing an image in your post (yellowish thingy looking somewhat like a postal envelope, symbolizing a mountain with black sun)insertimage.gif
  6. Insert the url from step 2 above into the address field of the dialog window which pops up.

 

Step five above is an application of this how-to.

 

I also use this technique when I post images both in the internat and the gerry forum.

but i am not finished with my stupid questions for the day . . . . i lost the "upload pictures" button when i view my album . . . see screencap below.

That's 'cos unless you are a sponsoring member, you can only upload three images ;)

post it in your gallery and also show it in the forum ?

 

There's a drawback. I don't know what happens to a thread which links to a picture in the gallery after you delete the picture from the gallery. I suppose the thread will show only the broken image link icon.

good point . . . . as i can see removing / replacing photos in my gallery now and then, i'd best not do this.
