msk2193 Posted July 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, I have decided to have a filter adapter made for the 24mm Summilux where, unlike other lenses, the filter thread is on the OD of the lens itself. A few machine shops I have been to in the Dallas area see no problem with the whole "plate", except for finally threading in milimeters once the part has been machined. Lee seems to suggest a holder will be out within months, but I really need this for a National Park visit in the beginning of October and don't want to run the risk of it not being on the market yet. Has anyone here had a filter holder made in Europe where of course the availability of mm threading this wide would not be an issue? Or even here in the US? I would like to get in contact with the shop that can make this part for me. Thanks in advance,

FrozenInTime Posted July 18, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 18, 2010 Michael, There is a Leica filter adapter 14479 that gives you an E72mm thread. Lee make a 72mm wide adapter for the 100mm series holders. I've been using the E82 adapter for ND filters on the 21mm. It looks like this: Donald.
