LHSA meeting in Wetzlar

Recommended Posts

We'll be seeing you there then, hopefully. The last time the annual meeting was held in Wetzlar, in '06, there was a great turnout and a great time was had by all. The LHSA is not predominantly a collector's society despite what the name implies.

I first went to Wetzlar with the LHSA group led by the late Sal diMarco. And I noticed that most of the other folk had current equipment rather than 'historical' stuff. I had the IIIb I inherited from my father, and only saw one other person with a screw camera. This time it will be turn of my IIIg to make the pilgrimage.

Best regards,

Doug

The first (and only) time I went to Wetzlar was in '06 the last time the LHSA held their meeting there. It was great. I had my M4 with me (the M8 was just coming out). It was the first trip in several years I shot film (Canon DSLR for several years, but didn't want to appear a heretic :D) and the last. Ten rolls of E6 and I hate to admit but I've yet to scan a single slide, which is why although I think it'd be cool to bring my IIIa or IIIf or even the M4 again, I'll be there with my M8. Now that it's discontinued and the M9 is all the rage, maybe my M8 qualifies as historical :D

PS are we really the only 2 LUF people going??
