Millions (billions?) of people would love to have the exact functionality of the X1 in a package the size of the DL4/LX3. The current limitation is the sensor, to achieve lowest possible noise. If that exact performance can be produced (without noise reduction smearing) in a DL4-size package, it would be a huge hit. In the end, we all want an M9 with the size & price of a DL4. With sensors it's not only about noise. Dynamic range, pixel-sharpness and color accuracy & saturation all go hand-in-hand with large® sensors.
