radfilm Posted July 18, 2010 Share #21 Posted July 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello All I too have used the connection kit with my Ipad. It takes less then a minute to transfer 30 Raw/Jpegs. All you have to do is just plug in the adapter withnthe SD card in it and it opens up the import window.. Very easy,I am using it with a D-Lux 4. Cheers, Dana Gonzales
Advertisement Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Hi radfilm, Take a look here iPad camera Connection Kit . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest jarski Posted July 19, 2010 Share #22 Posted July 19, 2010 having this available also to iPods would make handy compact travel backup and storage for photos. there was Camera Connector for first gen iPods, but that was/is so slow that its almost un-usable today with large amounts of RAW files. iPod/camera can run out of battery before transfer finishes. wbarker Posted August 25, 2011 Share #24 Posted August 25, 2011 Quick question to radfilm: WIth the D-Lux 4 have you used the ipad with just raw files - no jpegs? Can your ipad show these images? and is it an ipad 1 or 2? Gyles Yes, the iPad 2 reads the DLUX4 RWL files. I used my iPad as a backup for about 2000 shots on a recent trip. It's easy and quick to download a day's shot. It's easy to delete them later, when they are no longer needed. I adjusted the shots later on my MBP with Aperture. As is good shots in RWL I was able to share immediately, but if you need adjustments, the iPad is not equipped to do that although there are some apps that try. stunsworth Posted August 25, 2011 Share #25 Posted August 25, 2011 I thought the Dlux 4 could only shoot raw + jpeg? Are you sure you were looking at Jpegs?
integrale Posted August 29, 2011 Share #26 Posted August 29, 2011 I use the iPad (1st genenration) as on-the-road viewer with my Nikon D700. I shoot NEF (Nikonian for raw files) only and the iPad reads those without any problems.
