robert irvin Posted January 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Was it an option for the M7 to come with the black dot instead of the red dot or does it indicate something has been messed with? Bob
Advertisement Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Hi robert irvin, Take a look here M7 Black dot. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wizard Posted January 2, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2007 The only Leica that was officially supplied with the black dot was the M6TTL millenium black paint model I believe. However, some people (myself included) like the black dot better on their black M7, and have thus fitted one instead of the red version. Andy
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted January 2, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 2, 2007 Someone had it changed to black, there is no technical difference in this. No quality difference either. Just a matter of taste. Some RR- owners also prefer not to show their statussymbol upfront ... LEICA servicepeople didn´t like this change in the past, but with the M a-la-carte-programme now they are not so picky anymore.
