Advertisement Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hi huzel, Take a look here Size / memory chip. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Chris M Posted June 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 24, 2010 Why would you want to use a (32 gig) SDHC card? between the slow auto focus and no video capability and that massive size, it will take weeks too fill up, invest in an extra battery:) forget about that size card for the X1. 2 16's is better if you must have volume, when one is full you can start processing it while you shoot with the other;) chris m. Guest badbob Posted June 24, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2010 Good luck testing this. I have a 32 gb SD card, but how to fill it? It isn't enough to see if the card works, or that it's 90 percent full from some other device. For reasons too complicated to explain here, you need to fill it with X1 photos, which is more than 5,000 photos.

h00ligan Posted June 26, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 26, 2010 You wouldn't fill an 8 gig on one battery I doubt.
huzel Posted June 27, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted June 27, 2010 You wouldn't fill an 8 gig on one battery I doubt. I used to finish 2x36 rolls on daily basis during my trips. 10 days is 20 rolls, in other words 720 frames apprx per trip. I always have been very careful about the economy of shots. (not only because of the cost also processing -scanning- was a nightmare) If you shoot DNG, 5+17.5 MB per shot. 22.5 MB x 720 =16,200 is approximately 16GB. If you don't economize you have to have more than 16GB. 2 fully charged batteries are fine enough for the above mentioned number of shoots. h00ligan Posted June 27, 2010 Share #7 Posted June 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) That pretty much supports what I said, with variance in whether one uses the screen, how long the camera is kept in a ready state, etc. In the real world it varies widely (battery usage) some have sasid they get 300, some 100..I guess it's in how often the machine is turned off. So that would take 1,440 shots to fill up.
