craig stanton Posted June 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 15, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) For those of you who use a noctilux wide open in daylight, could you give me an idea of which ND filter you use and what strength?? I have the E60 version, will any 60mm filter (thread) fit or does it need to be an E60 version. Thanks!!!!

marmelade Posted June 15, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 15, 2010 Hello, One option is to go for the B+W 103 60mm MRC filter, if you search a little for "noctilux" you will find a good thread on the subject. Expect some delivery time on that 60mm thats all =) best, Are
Mark Pope Posted June 15, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 15, 2010 I have a 0.9 ND (it's a Heliopan I think) for my Nokton. That's 3 stops of ND, so should mean I'll be shooting at about 1/1000 sec in bright sunshine at ISO 160. HTH Mark
jyrkialanen Posted June 15, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 15, 2010 For those who live in Europe, there are 60mm B&W 103 (8X) nd filters in stock at fotologisch.com - der Spezialist für Fotozubehör vom Feinsten und exquisite analoge Kamerasysteme.. I just ordered one for my Nocti and recieved it five days later-smooth transaction! Best regards, Jyrki
jbl Posted June 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2010 I have a six-stop (1.8) ND filter for it. I figured six stops is f/1 to f/8 which is reasonable given the sunny 16 rule. -jbl

Nikkor AIS Posted June 18, 2010 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use the F PRO B+W ND 0.9 and for times when I need a little more light getting through the B+W Polarizer . I still hate using a filter on the lens but the results are decent. Taken with 50 1.0 Noctilux on Leica M7 with B+W ND filter on 100 asa Ektapress . Vlad Posted June 25, 2010 Share #9 Posted June 25, 2010 I was searching high and low for the F PRO B+W 103 or 106 filter for my Noctilux but failed miserably. Instead I ordered a Heliopan 3-stop filter from Adorama, it's on its way.
