Jark89 Posted June 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, so yesterday while I was transferring some files from the D-Lux 4, I noticed something odd. I noticed that the folder started with "101", as opposed to "100". The thing is, since the purchase, there's only been just over 1,000 pictures taken. I'd assume the 101 folder sequence would start once over 10,000 pictures? The files' names are, for example "101-0001, 101-0002, etc.". Notice there are 4 numbers after the "101". Given this, I'd assume my pictures would go "100-1001, 100-1002, etc.". Is this just how the D-Lux 4 numbering system is, or am I the one that's wacky? I also tried renaming the folder & file to my desired ones, hoping that the next picture taken would continue on (worked with my Canon). Unfortunately, it created another 101 folder and went off with that (ex. renamed folder to 100-1001, hoping next picture would be 100-1002, but instead got 101-1002). Anywho, hope I haven't confused you guys. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Jark89 Posted June 12, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted June 12, 2010 Never mind, think I found my answer on page 73 of the manual - "Up to 999 pictures / folder". I still find it very odd though, that it only goes up to 999 when there are 4 digits available. Oh well...
