conorbradshaw Posted June 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anybody out there know if this angle-finder (model no. 14300) will work on a Digilux 3 (ie. will it fit the viewfinder)? Thanks Conor
Advertisement Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Hi conorbradshaw, Take a look here Leica Winkelsucher R on Digilux 3? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicadig3 Posted June 11, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Conor, I see you didn´t find the angle finder. The Right-Angle Finder R 14300 doesn´t work in Digilux 3. I asked about this here: Leica Camera AG/Informationservice Solmser Gewerbepark 8 35606 Solms ... and I received this answer: "We are testing the Right-Angle Finder R 14300 with Digilux 3 again. The Right-Angle Finder goes not on the Digilux 3. The edges are too thick." I´m still looking for the correct angle finder. Regards.
leicadig3 Posted June 11, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 11, 2010 In this thread http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/digital-forum/36420-digilux-3-angle-finder.html , some colleagues were talking about this issue. Ben (rougewave) talked about the Hoodman. If Ben reads now this thread, maybe he can tell us if he had some experience with another angle viewer ... Regards. ASpes Posted June 13, 2010 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2010 In general anything that will fit the finder of the Olympus E-330 can be expected also to fit the D/3. I had the Olympus one, the VA-1, unfortunately it vanished a couple years ago with my suitcase at the airport ... if price is not an issue (but at B&H a new VA-1 is not that much more than a used Leica 14300 at Keh), IMO it's one of the best for build and clarity. conorbradshaw Posted June 21, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted June 21, 2010 Thanks for the info guys... I will check out the VA-1... reviews of others seem to be very mixed!
