Medieval Summer Tournament

hi there.

 

I am rather new here, owning my "new" M8 for a few weeks now, coming from a D700 with lots of nice glass. One of the first occassions for shooting her came up two weeks ago when our reenactment group (focussed on 15th century southern Germany) held their traditional summer tournament (the 12th now).

 

Altough our group sees itself as a reenactment group nowadays, the summer tournament is a relic from the past when we started with this, so it is the one event during the year when we take neither the hobby nor ourselfs too serious ;)

 

due to the event lasting 10 days, we make logistic compromises, like a fridge, a modern beer tap, and modern machines for woodworking. Anyhow, it is great fun and a week of relaxation

 

I hope you enjoy them! It was a surprise to me, how well the camera is suited for action shots during the competitions, and how bad ISO 2500 is...
