jvan01 Posted June 9, 2010 Share #1 Posted June 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Shutter lag is getting worse on my 3 year old DLux 3. At times it's like new and other times there's a 1 second lag, even after prefocusing. Is there a DIY fix for this?

Zombie Posted June 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted June 9, 2010 Try if changing the autofocus mode to smth simpler than multi-spot helps.
bcorton Posted June 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2010 Also, if the focus selector on the side of the lens gets bumped onto (Auto Macro) it will take a long time to focus. Good luck, Brent
jvan01 Posted June 10, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted June 10, 2010 Good guesses, but I made sure that the AF isn't set to macro and I'm using the center AF point only. It happens regardless whether IS is 1/2/off. I guess there could be some grot under the shutter button or some contact is dirty/worn/compromised?
