Daniel Leung Posted May 23, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 23, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Zhou, Thank you so much for attending to my post at L Camera. You know what, after about 5 days of waiting for Luigi to reply, I think you pretty much have my business. It's these small little attention to detail that sometimes make a difference in business! So you reckon that the 34 will fit onto your case? I noticed that you only have Black for the M9, would you have a tan brown color? I guess the fastest way to order is via ebay right? I e mail Luigi at least a month ago and never got his response. So, I ordered the 1/2 case with red stitch from Mr. Zhou. I received it last week and love it. Advertisement Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Hi Daniel Leung, Take a look here Luigi's Half case with Match Technical's E-Clypse 1.25. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
artspraken Posted May 23, 2010 Share #22 Posted May 23, 2010 This is a Singapore Agent for A&A. not sure if there are others. Store you can see the available items in the online store. Hi Efftee, I'm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'll be in SG early next month and perhaps you could give me the A&A's agent in SG's address & name? I do know that Chiif Cameras carry Zhou's half case and I'm going to drop by to check out the case as well.

You might want to give him a call to find out if he has what you want as his inventory isn't that large. He would import any A&A accessory you want though it would take a week or so to arrive. If you're going to see Chii Fei, do check out his Fogg bags; very different from A&A but very nice nonetheless.
Zhou Posted May 23, 2010 Share #24 Posted May 23, 2010 I received the eyecup samples from Tim this afternoon. His response is super fast. These samples arrived one day after I asked him about the case question. I tested these eyecups on my M8 with the case on. However, even the smaller eyecup with 34mm diameter doesn't fit well upon the case. Here are photos for your reference 34mm and 42mm eyecups
xero200 Posted May 23, 2010 Author Share #25 Posted May 23, 2010 Hi Zhou, Thank you for your swift action. Would you be having any custom made cases to accommodate the 34mm Magnifiers since they don't fit your cases well?
Double Negative Posted May 23, 2010 Share #26 Posted May 23, 2010 I'd still like to know how the eyecups fit with a Luigi case... I've been tempted by a 32/1.25 mag. But judging by Zhou's example - it doesn't look promising. I was hoping there would be enough of a "standoff" from the camera body to clear a case. But judging by Zhou's example - it doesn't look promising. I was hoping there would be enough of a "standoff" from the camera body to clear a case. I use a Luigi half case on my own M9. The E-Clypse Mag 1.25X 34mm fits well. I use this combination everyday. The 42mm diameter EyeCup or E-Clypse Mag does not fit without deforming the rubber eye cup. I don't recommend the 42mm on the Luigi half case. When trying Zhou's half case on my M9, I find the 34mm diameter E-Clypse EyeCup or the Mag eye cup are both substantially deformed, as he has mentioned. Some additional clearance in his case will be needed for either the 34mm or 42mm eye cup diameters to fit properly. Both the Luigi case and Zhou case were designed without any knowledge about the dimensions of my EyeCups. So I lucked out with the Luigi in this situation. I just tried my M9, Luigi's half case, Tim's 34mm E-Clypse Mag 1.25x, and I had to take the case off to fit it on. When I put the half case back on, it bulged a little, but not as much as Zhou's half case in the photos. Tried to work the case "under" the magnifier, but it did not work. Terry, your comment got me thinking. My Luigi half case has a built in Tri Pod mount. This Tri Pod mount raises the floor of the case about 5 mm. With the camera raised in the case, there is sufficient room for a E-Clypse Mag 1.25x 34mm. The 42mm diameter version would still be too large. The same Tri Pod feature in the base would also make the Zhou case also fit with the E-Clypse Mag.
