dpattinson Posted May 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) It occurred to me while using the flash in very dim light, that it would be very useful to have the option to enable the focus aid light on the flash head, in order to aid manual focusing. I thought that perhaps having the light on while the shutter button is partially depressed would be a reasonable option, and have that only happen when the ambient light is below a certain threshold. Of course, one would want to be able to choose to disable the light as well. How would I best make this request of Leica? David.
Advertisement Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Hi dpattinson, Take a look here Focus aid light on the SF-58 flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest mc_k Posted May 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2010 yes I have been thinking the same, to get more contrast in the patch for focusing. If you could just turn it on and off that would be enough. It would be power-hungry, but apparently you can use the flash with the Metz P76? power pack.
