Hello everyone,

I am looking for the bag Billingham 306. It seems difficult to find in italy.

Can you suggest some dealer which I can buy it through the net, mobilephone, e-mail.

I've also some doubts about the colour. Have you experienced differences from the Khaki ones to black ones?

Thanlks awfully.

I like the all black as it attracts less attention when traveling. You should check the Billingham website as also have a newer nylon version that looks quite nice but it may have a different number. I have always found Robert White pretty good for export items.

well infact i was looking for a colour that give less attraction, but i'm worried also the black will attract hot more than khaki . I've seen the new nylon style, it's good but also bigger than the previous one.

You understand the trade offs . I find with size that I use the measurements . I am bothered more by the width of the bag than anything else . If the bag sticks out from your hip ..then you will get bumped in crowds. Depth is easy to handle for me because I am tall. I want a Leica R 180 to stand up tall. The length is fine up to about 14-15inches. After that the bag can get bumped. I much prefer the Hadley Large to the 306 because of the handling . I do use a Sage Green Hadley Large in hot weather as it blends in with summer khaki better than black. I can put everything that I would carry when shooting in a Hadley Large but it may not be big enough for travel .

I do like the newer nylon material which wasn t available in the USA last time I was buying.

The colour is a matter of personal taste. I have two Billingham bags, both are black. Simply because of the fact that black is less sensitive to stains than a lighter colour.

Good luck

This is true to some extend, but can be neglected in my opinion, especially since the majority of cameras is black as well.

If you don't want to attract any attention, the best thing to use is an old and dirty canvas bag, not a snazzy Billingham bag.

I don't care about my taste. It's only about the one it's more invisible , not notable. Could be the black one , but I'm worried it will attract hot temperature more than the Kahki one.

That's why I got my Billinghams in the khaki color - light colors are a much better choice for hot weather. I'm glad that Billingham and Domke have the sense to realize this, as not many other camera bag makers do.

Tenba does offer a couple of bags in platinum color, though -

Tenba | Laptop Messenger Bag, Large (Platinum) | 638-238 | B&H

and - Tenba | Laptop Messenger Bag, Small (Platinum) | 638-228 | B&H

Hi, I'm sitting here with 5 Billinghams, 4 khaki and one green, my 306. Where I live, southern New Mexico, USA, it is already hot 90F+. I try to keep dark or black too a minimum. Just as a thought, I stumbled across camera bags in light green. Two styles, traditional on the shoulder and a rucksack type. Many pockets and smaller cases you can attach to the sides. They are by National Geographic (the magazine) after much imput from their photographers in helping design the bags. Those photog know a thing or two about photography equipment. Just a thought. Also their prices are far below Billingham or Fogg.
