richfx Posted May 19, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I e-mailed Luigi last Tuesday evening, ironed out the details for my M9 case in no time (Rally finish, Luigi grip, hanging rear cover, Thumbs Up EP-1 cutout, burgundy lining) and paid via PayPal. Each of my subsequent e-mails were answered promptly. When does Luigi sleep? Case arrived yesterday, as promised - 7 days, start to finish, from Rome to CT. Fantastic quality, fit and aesthetics. Luigi is terrific, and the acclaim he receives is completely deserved. Couldn't be happier. Rich Welcome, dear visitor! Tulpenwahn Posted May 28, 2010 Author Share #22 Posted May 28, 2010 I just got an email by Luigi that he is going to send my case today (ordered and paid on the 15th of April). Let's see if it will be arriving next week.
andreaffm Posted May 28, 2010 Share #23 Posted May 28, 2010 Mine came quite quickly after my last mail. Along with many apologies, an extra leather sling and a Leica keyholder. He's great.
Tulpenwahn Posted June 1, 2010 Author Share #24 Posted June 1, 2010 My case arrived yesterday and everything is done very well: exactly the specification I ordered and brilliant manufacture. So, in the end things turned out to be fine.

bill Posted June 8, 2010 Share #26 Posted June 8, 2010 Guys, there is a Buy and Sell section here. It is downright rude to advertise here without paying for it. Regards, Bill
richfx Posted June 9, 2010 Share #27 Posted June 9, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Chill, Bill. Hostility is a negative vibe. I was responding to a forum member's request. I can afford to pay for advertising. Rich
thetoness Posted June 9, 2010 Share #28 Posted June 9, 2010 I just received my Luigi half case in Naturally Brown Aged leather with the Luigi grip, deluxe strap, flush tripod mounted screw and cutout for his base plate (M-Mate2). I have to tell you that this is an elegant solution for the M9. No longer do I have to take of the base plate to change the battery or remove the SD card-what a relief. Besides the obvious convenience, the case is truly magnificent. Luigi is an artisan and craftsmen. If you want a perfect solution to the dumb M9 base plate along with the most beautiful half case then this is your answer. Oh and by the way, it took exactly one week from the time I placed the order to the time I received the case, strap, and M-Mate2 at my doorstep. Thanks Luigi. Guest nephilim Posted June 11, 2010 Share #30 Posted June 11, 2010 I ordered a half case for the M7 (rally), the matching deluxe strap and a soft release on 28th of May. A month later I sent him a mail and asked if he could estimate a delivery date. He promised to send it by the end of the week and I received the case after a total making time of 25 working days. The case is brilliant and I love the colour combination rally/black. Two very minor complaints: 1) the ASA dial sits perfectly centered in the rear cut-out but the EV scale cut-out is not symmetrical (a bit wider on the lower half). 2) The fastening strap on the left side sits slightly above the protective plastic part - a potential source of brassing? Nevertheless, these are very minor issues and I don't feel bothered at all. The softie doesn't work well on my M7 but this is a common problem many M7 owners have reported so far. If I'll find enough money to buy another camera, I'd order it from Luigi again. Cheers, Torsten *edit* I almost forgot an important part of the story: When looking at his website I noticed two different kind of grips (the grip, not the bump): a straight and a slightly oblique version. I preferred the latter and in my ordering mail told him that I'd like to have that version. He answered that this was an older design and his new grips are all straight. I replied that this was ok and I could of course live with the straight design. When I received the case I was really happy to see that Luigi had taken care of my wish and had made the grip oblique! Many thanks to Luigi for a very good service *edit^2* straight: http://leicatime.com/GreenCaseWM6flat.jpg oblique: http://leicatime.com/Built-in-gripRallyScrewFront.jpg
