tgray Posted May 10, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 10, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ignoring the scanner variable, I think for the most part, you'll get more detail out of digital (in 35mm). Especially if you aren't using slow speed film on a tripod. It gets more complicated, especially when you start mixing in traditional B&W film, optical printing, grain, print sizes, viewing distances, etc. But if you want a simple answer to, "Which will give me more detail in a large print or at 100% on the screen?" I think digital is the answer you'll get.
Advertisement Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Hi tgray, Take a look here M9 - M6TTL - Focus. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest mc_k Posted May 11, 2010 Share #22 Posted May 11, 2010 ... do I need to send my brand new "old stock" M6TTL in for RF adjustments?... no this will not answer your original question. You need to focus bracket to compare sharpness, which takes the two rangefinders out of the equation.
