Advertisement Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Hi Annibale G., Take a look here Photo Bags ( Billingham 306 and 335). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
DTD Posted May 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 8, 2010 I've had a Billingham 335 for probably 20 odd years – it's as well made as you'd expect from Billingham. I don't use it too much nowadays as I find it a bit too square. Think I prefer more of a satchel type bag. M Billingham and Co 335 Camera Bag
Annibale G. Posted May 8, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted May 8, 2010 Well I have to put inside two M7 with 28 and 50 and a R6 with a 90mm. I've read something about the 306 that is more practible, easy...
DTD Posted May 8, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 8, 2010 Will fit that kit in nicely – I just find it sticks out away from my body too much – but that's my preference. I think it's still one of the best of its' type.
dickgrafixstop Posted May 8, 2010 Share #5 Posted May 8, 2010 The Billingham website is a mess right now, but if you go to rtsphoto.com, you'll be at the American distributor for these bags. They have a nice photo of both, and it seems the major difference is the 'tuck-top" and the extra side pocket on the 335. I haven't tried the new six series, but I think you'll find it hard to beat a 335 in a traditional shoulder style bag. Also look at the Hadley pro, which I find to be a little more "portable" with a typical day's shooting kit.
Annibale G. Posted May 9, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted May 9, 2010 Maybe will be perfect for that kit plus film of course, maybe also the 306 will be perfect that is also a little bit small than the 335. Wht do you think?

glenerrolrd Posted May 9, 2010 Share #8 Posted May 9, 2010 I have both bags but don t have access to one to do a photo. The 306 is much preferred because of the "press top " which opens cleanly (and wide) for accessing your equipment. Its big enough for a DMR and four prime lenses which is how I use it. I find it great for transporting equipment while traveling but I don t like it as a day bag. Its too big and especially too wide which causes people to walk right into you(if you find yourself in a crowd). I like a satchel style bag like a Domke J 803 or a Billingham Hadley large or pro . I assume the body is out of the bag most of the time thus the size is for lenses etc. The body can be separated from the lens for travel if needed and will fit but its too tight to use in and out frequently. But if you have already settled on the size and shape of the billingham then the 306 is better functionally because of how you access the equipment. It would be helpful if the OP could indicate what equipment he will be using (or did I miss that in the above?).
visoflex Posted May 11, 2010 Share #9 Posted May 11, 2010 The Packington is good - I can recommend it. 2 x M6's + 35, 50, 90 and loads of odds and ends

I have the 335 and use it all the time - it's an outstanding bag.
