jbgeach Posted May 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have finally joined the ranks of the film M crew! My like new Bessa r2a came today and I went out and snapped a few pics. I am coming from an m8 and I just LOVE my 35mm Summicron ASPH on film. I do plan to get an m6 someday, but for today, I love the Bessa. Here are some pics. All shot using 35 Cron Fuji Reala and a warming filter. All metering was camera selected aperture priority. Advertisement Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Hi jbgeach, Take a look here Bessa r2a. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jbgeach Posted May 8, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted May 8, 2010 For anyone considering the Bessa - I am very pleased with the build quality. It is an all metal camera and very solid. It took me a couple of tries to figure out the film loading and unloading, but it is now a snap. I love having aperture priority and find the metering system adequate. Anyway, if you want to use your m8/m9 lenses on film, it is a very inexpensive way to enter the club. SteveYork Posted May 8, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2010 If it wasn't for the limited ERB, I would strongly be tempted to unload all my Leica stuff for Voigtlander and bank the extra coins.
jbgeach Posted May 8, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted May 8, 2010 I don't shoot anything longer than a 50, so I don't think the ERB will be a factor for me.
