tdtaylor Posted May 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Trying to find a hood for the 28-35-50, v2 - the 49 mm version (as opposed to 55 mm). I have come up with the Leica #11625 Hood, but I cannot verify which version this is for. Also, is there a good website that has all the lenses by Leica and the part to them? Thanks in advance,
Advertisement Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Hi tdtaylor, Take a look here Hood for 28-35-50 v2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gravastar Posted May 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2010 The hood my bought new v2 MATE came with is marked #12450 A53 M 4/28-35-50. There is also a matching hood cap that clips over the two retaining hood release tabs when the hood is reversed for storage over the front of the lens. Since I've lost the cap I don't have a part number for it. The front of the hood is slightly petaled and has cut out vents for the viewfinder. Bob. tdtaylor Posted May 7, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted May 7, 2010 Much appreciated. Why are Leica hoods so complicated?

At B&H, when I put in Leica #12450, it returns Leica #11625. leica #12450 Gee, wonder why this is confusing. Does the hood in the attached link appear to be the one you have? tdtaylor Posted May 7, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted May 7, 2010 Just realized. The second number is the lens number- definitely need much more coffee .
gravastar Posted May 7, 2010 Share #6 Posted May 7, 2010 Much appreciated. Why are Leica hoods so complicated? I believe the hood is very expensive to purchase as a replacement item . Here's what it looks like: ETA: Yes, the B&H one is correct. At $150 not as expensive as I expected.

brill64 Posted October 28, 2011 Share #10 Posted October 28, 2011 ..sorry to drag this up from the deep, dark depths. does anyone happen to know if there is a part number for the v2 MATE hood plastic rear cap, that clips over the two trigger release tabs when the hood is reversed for storage over the front of the lens? does it even exist? this thread is the only reference to it that i've been able to find so far. one of my local dealers thinks it's a myth and looks at me quizzically. I'm asking if it is still available as the #12450 A53 M 4/28-35-50 hood can still be bought new. thanks for your advice!
