Advertisement Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Hi Bateleur, Take a look here Steam over the Mosel. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted May 9, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 9, 2010 Charles, A fine picture with great composition, tones and clarity. I would consider cropping the right side a bit to increase the scale of the train. Paul
likalar Posted May 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 9, 2010 Such a beautiful scene you've captured. Well done! The bridge looks so overbuilt; I bet it could support a dozen such trains. Larry
Bateleur Posted May 10, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted May 10, 2010 Paul, Thank you, good comment, I appreciate that. Larry, Thank you. The bridge is indeed sturdy, it carries dual rail tracks as well as a road on the lower deck. Regards Charles

wda Posted May 10, 2010 Share #6 Posted May 10, 2010 Interesting. It looks like a double bridge for road and rail. Is that so?

Bateleur Posted May 17, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted May 17, 2010 Yes David, it’s a double bridge and quite an experience as you drive over with a train barrelling over your head. Thank you Dave, it’s a lovely bridge and from the hillside opposite through the vines is a pretty sight. Indeed Guy, the CL does not often see the light very often these days, but when it does it always rewards me.
