Advertisement Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Hi markowich, Take a look here S lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
c6gowin Posted May 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 4, 2010 This is good news. You information regarding the 24mm and 30-90 zoom are different than what I have heard previously. In particular, I inquired about the S zoom to Leica personnel involved with the S system development at PhotoPlus last fall and, at the time, they indicated the zoom had been pushed back in order to concentrate on higher priority lenses such as the 24mm and the T/S. I was disappointed because I had hoped to use the 30-90 zoom as my primary lens. Fortunately, the 70mm is more versatile than I expected.

SImilar to Mark, I was also hoping for the zoom to be higher priority but I am currently enjoying the 70.

c6gowin Posted May 19, 2010 Share #8 Posted May 19, 2010 Stephan, your choice of smiley gave me a smile. Any information you can divulge about the sequence of planned S lens rollouts would be appreciated. As stated above, I am keenly interested in the 30-90mm zoom whereas others are looking forward to the macro and tilt/shift lenses.
stephanjuergenschulz Posted May 20, 2010 Share #9 Posted May 20, 2010 Mark, I have to ask for some patience until photokina 2010 regarding more information for lens rollout. Stephan Schulz
c6gowin Posted May 20, 2010 Share #10 Posted May 20, 2010 Stephan, I understand. It is not a problem for me as I don't expect to be in position to buy another S lens before Photokina. I was asking more for my own financial planning purposes and for others that may be in the market sooner.
marknorton Posted May 24, 2010 Share #11 Posted May 24, 2010 In relation to the cost of the body, the lenses are almost a bargain, compare, for example, the cost of this new lens to the 35mm Summilux-M.
