paulmichaelsnr Posted April 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Are there any Leica 'M' cameras into which you cannot (must not) collapse a Leica lens?
Advertisement Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Hi paulmichaelsnr, Take a look here Collapsible lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bill Posted April 27, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 27, 2010 CL and M5 spring to mind. Beyond that it depends on the lens. The old 90mm Elmar Collapsible, for instance, should not be used on the M8 or M9, whereas the newer one can. Similarly, the 50mm Elmar-M is safe, whilst the older versions are not. I would always counsel changing a collapsible lens fully extended to avoid any problems in any event. What do you have in mind? Regards, Bill
paulmichaelsnr Posted April 27, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted April 27, 2010 I was thinking of the M4, mainly.
doubice Posted April 27, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 27, 2010 I was thinking of the M4, mainly. All Leica lenses of any vintage, screw mount or M mount, can be collapsed into the M4 with no limitations whatsoever. Best, Jan
