Neal,

Presumably those Dagmars were a Nader thing? I always thought that the original, very low chrome bumper (fender) Spitfire looked much better than when they raised it to cover the grille. Never seen this plastic version in the UK, although we did suffer the jacked-up rubber bumper MGBs. :o

Fired any big guns recently? ;)

I didn't like the lower bumper on the Mk1 and Mk2, and thought they improved the lines when they raised the bumper on the Mk3. Although some people don't like the look of the rear on the Mk4 and 1500 I think it works well on the Spitfire. However the new rear end doesn't work well on the GT6 Mk3, the Mk2 was much better. My first car was a GT6 Mk1, the Triumph virus sat dormant in me until two years ago when it flared up and I bought the Spit. Too much fun!!!

Just for grins;:D

Very nice! The action shot is the one! Has it seen any track days since you got it?

the condition of this is just too nice to run on the track, it's my weekend driver. If I wanted to set one up for the track I'd find one a bit more beat up and rebuild it to Euro specs, twin SU's, racing cam, headers, tuned exhaust, high compression pistons, boost it from 57 bhp to around 110bhp, increase top end from 95mph to around 120mph
