Summilux 24, suffer from CA?

Yesterday I went for a scuba diving trip with M9 + Lux 24.

I found out that lux 24 behave a bit strange...

Something I have a LOT of CA on my picture, however, some of them doest have at all.

I believe they all were taken using the same aperture ( between F4 - F 5.6)

(the big white thing on the water is a giant Jelly fish, yesterday we have so many giant Jelly fishes it's a lof of fun to swim with them)

Can anyone explain to me, why this things happend?

Andree, looks like a fun trip and a happy group!

 

There have been several other threads on this same topic. IIRC, the consensus was that it's not CA, but there wasn't agreement on exactly what the cause was. It's a digital effect, something having to do with the way a digital sensor works. If you shot film with the lens, you wouldn't see the effect.

There are several workarounds mentioned in the various threads, one of which is to try a different raw converter. Just for the record, and to help people find a solution for your situation, what raw converter are you using?

It's nice to hear the explanation, at least I know this is normal

I'm using Light-Room 3 Beta for the conversion.

I wish I have Leica M7 or Film one, so that I can try it.

 

Summilux 24/1.4 never fail to impress me ^.^
