I finally received my Eye-Fi X2 Pro 8gig SDHC class 6 wireless-N card.

So to followup on an old thread (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/105995-tethering-would-nice.html)

Here are my initial observations:

so far, getting consistent 1.4MB/sec wireless transfer rates (hoping I can figure out a few tricks to help increase this) so far uncompressed DNG only (36.4MB) it would take aprox. 26sec per file.

18.3MB compressed DNG would be about 13sec.

This isn't quite as good as I'm used to shooting on Canon/Phase systems, but this is better than nothing.......(my criteria is fast transfer speeds with rock solid stability and reliability when shooting tethered)

I'm hoping to get a chance to play with the card some more later this evening to get a better sense of how it all works. Will report more info as I can.

some more observations:

The Eye-Fi X2 Pro card although a class 6 SDHC card, feels A LOT slower than my Sandisk Extreme III 30mb/sec class 6. Perhaps the wifi card is doing some sort of extra read/write, but it seems to bog down the camera a lot faster, and also happens to be a battery drain, though no surprise...
