JimHsu Posted April 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear All, Recently I've found that the date and time of my pictures from M8.2 were incorrect. It becomes a problem to me if I want to keep the exif to record the date and time when I take pictures. This morning I took a picture on the setting menu when this happened again. I am showing this to you, and you will see the H (means HR) column became 4 digits. I would like to know if any of you has ever encountered the same situation? And I suppose the only solution is to send it back to LEICA for a hardware fix? Here in Taiwan, it will take about 3 months to return...ouch Cheers, Jim

ho_co Posted April 19, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2010 Jim-- A) Don't worry, my M8 has been in for repair for three months already, and I live in the US. I don't have my camera at the moment, but have you tried changing the other date settings? This looks as if the Year display has got into the Hour column. Maybe you should try changing date order, or changing time from 24- to 12-hr or vice versa. Perhaps by making a change in the setup, you could set the camera correctly; and maybe that setting would stick when you reset to your favored display setup. (Or maybe try running the setup under another language option, just to verify the problem.) That's only a guess. If you can get it to set correctly, it's probably just a firmware snag that could be corrected without sending the camera in. Let's hope so! BTW--You are running the latest firmware, aren't you? JimHsu Posted April 19, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted April 19, 2010 Thank you Howard !! I will try it and see if it would work. And yes the firmware is 2.004 right now, the latest one. And I hope your camera will come back to you very soon Jim
marknorton Posted April 19, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 19, 2010 Try using the Reset function from the main menu. We've seen similar problems after some firmware upgrades.
