shaozhuohong Posted April 18, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi The shutter 1/1000s of my M3 doen't work correctly, as the following photos showed. The speed I used was: (Bike) 1/1000s F2.8; 1/500s F4; 1/250s F5.6; (landscape) 1/1000s F4; 1/1000s F4; When the speed at "B", I can hear the sound of first cutain is very soft (when press shutter), but the sound of second cutain is rough and loud (when release the shutter). Q1: Does it mean the shutter lacking lubricate? Q2: If I don't send the camera to repair but avoid using 1/1000s, will the situation become worse then damage the whole shutter system? Thank you very much! Shaozhuohong

Guest cweg Posted April 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 18, 2010 I'm Sorry, but the Shutter must be adjusted. So it makes sense if your M3 gets a complete CLA. Mine had teh same Symptoms and after the CLA it works like new.
