davidmires Posted February 23, 2007 Author Share #22 Posted February 23, 2007 Reed - thanks for taking the time to comment. I agree on the East/West - sunrise/sunset comment. I also agree on the B+W impact. Jacques - Thanks for the warm words. William - I usually have too many irons in the fire...there aren't always enough hours in the day. I think I must have sharpened the first one more, I can't remember. I think the first is probably closer to what was there, a little too much magenta though...it looks like I took a little too much out. It doesn't really look right yet... Azzo - Thanks for taking the time to comment. Pete - Your opinion regarding composition is valuable, thanks for the compliment. I'm not surprised you prefer the B+W one :-) Cheers. All of your comments are educational, and appreciated, thanks! Cheers, David.

Guest stnami Posted February 25, 2007 Share #25 Posted February 25, 2007 The first works as the colours are in step with one another the other looks forced, the B&W loses its subjectivity
andybarton Posted February 25, 2007 Share #26 Posted February 25, 2007 I agree, Imants, the first is the best of the three. Very pleasing.

Hi David,The first one does it for me, I know I couldn't do it with my D2. Way too sharp. Great shot. Thanks for sharing. Ed. And taken with a 50 year old lens no less... I have to disagree though, regarding D2 sharpness...the D2 is no slouch: Welcome, dear visitor!
