bhonhoff Posted April 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an Visoflex III and the first M-series Elmarit 90mm. I know I do need an 16464 to use the Elmarit on the Visoflex, but I've also got an 135mm Elmar, that I currently only can use with my Bellows 2. There is an tube in between the Elmar 135 mm and the 39m thread on the Bellows. I've two questions: - What is the order/name of this tube? - What do I need next to the 16464 'Einstell Schnecke' to use this with the Elmar 135mm. The diameter is really different from the Elmarit 90mm.
Advertisement Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Hi bhonhoff, Take a look here 135mm Elmar and 90mm Elmarit Visoflex III. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
doubice Posted April 17, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 17, 2010 In order to use the lens head of your 135m Elmar on the 16464 focusing mount, you will need a 16472 tube. This will go between the head of the Elmar and the 16464 mount. To use the head on Bellows II you apparently need a 16558 ring and the 16472 tube. The information is take from Leica Catalog No. 39 and I hope it is correct, as this was used by Leica dealers to order from Leitz...... k-hawinkler Posted April 18, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 18, 2010 Jan, Thanks for your info about the gear for attaching the 135mm Elmar. My information below concerns only the f/4 135mm Tele-Elmar and f/2.8 90mm Elmarit lens head. ---------------------------------- My f/4 135mm Tele-Elmar lens head can be screwed directly onto the 16464 universal focusing mount or via the extension tube 16471 for close up work. My f/2.8 90mm Elmarit lens head fits as well. I also have the extension tube 16472 but neither of my two lens heads can be attached to it. The 16472 extension tube has 1:4/135 and 1:4.5/135 engraved on its upper end. The lower end fits into the 16464 universal focusing mount. K-H. Yes, The 4/135mm Tele-Elmar, just like the the original 'long' 2.8/90mm Elmarit fit the 16464 directly. Some of the Tele-Elmars have a light baffle around their rear element and this has to be removed before threading the lens head into the 16464. The removal is quite simple - just pull the baffle off. The 16472 tube was designed for the lens heads of the 4.5/135mm Hektor and the 4/135mm Elmar, when used with the 16464 focusing mount on the Visoflex II and III. In my response I have sssumed that the OP was referring to the earlier 4/135mm Elmar, not the Tele-Elmar. I am glad that we could clarify this. k-hawinkler Posted April 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 18, 2010 Jan, Many thanks for clarifying the purpose of the 16472 tube. I assumed as much but wasn't sure. Now I am. Thanks. Cheers, K-H.
bhonhoff Posted April 18, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks for the information. Now I understand why I could not find these parts, since I do not have the mentioned ´Katalog´. (The oldest I have says ´IX/76/FELB/B´)

bhonhoff Posted October 1, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted October 1, 2010 Thanks for the information. I just received an 16472 won on eBay and it fits like a glove! I'm curious about the results compared to my Elmarit-R 135mm
