pgk Posted April 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Taken today. Look at the sun which shows a rather odd line protruding below it (white with magenta pattern at its end) . Several similar shots show nothing similar. Any suggestions (M8-2 c/w 50/1.4 asph.)? mjh Posted April 17, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 17, 2010 It has become rare to see blooming these days, but that’s what it is: excess charge caused by a severe overexposure (the sensor should handle up to 10 f-stops worth of overexposure without blooming) spilling to neighboring pixels. Nothing to worry about, though.

Nothing to worry about, though. Thanks both. I wasn't bothered as subsequent frames showed nothing, but it is the first time in 2.5 years of M8 ownership that I've seen it!
