Advertisement Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Hi leicanut2, Take a look here Leica 16464 focus mount. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
spydrxx Posted April 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 12, 2010 Yes the 16464 Focus Mount works with the 135/4.0 Tele Elmar, the 90/2.8 Elmarit, and the 65/3.5 Elmar lens heads. Here's a chart from a previous posting which may be of use to you. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/attachments/leica-m8-forum/28975d1173529331-visoflex-65mm-m8-visoiii.jpg
leicanut2 Posted April 12, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted April 12, 2010 Thank you, looks like I need a second adapter for close up work. Thanks Again Jan
spydrxx Posted April 13, 2010 Share #4 Posted April 13, 2010 It depends on how close you intend to get. I often use the 90/2.8 Elmarit alone for close work, but use the additional adapter for macro work only if needed. As far as I'm concerned, the focusing mount (16464) with any of the lenses is really great, coupled with an adapter to either my DSLR or one of my other SLRs...makes a pretty versatile package. tobey bilek Posted April 13, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 13, 2010 You need a bellows or extension tubes to get closer, not an additional focus mount.
spydrxx Posted April 13, 2010 Share #6 Posted April 13, 2010 I think the OP was referring to the adapter 16471 to extend focus, not another focusing mount.
leicanut2 Posted April 13, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted April 13, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, need the 16471 and the 16464, adapter hell as one other leica forum member said a few years back. But allot of fun messing with this old stuff and still get great picture quality. The more I play with the visoflex the more I think a more modern and possibly more automatic version would sell Ha Visoflex IV. Slap me. This visoflex III is my 4th or 5th I forget, but it is the best one so far and will be getting a new Ricoh KR-5 focus screen as soon as I can pick up some seal material. Think there still are a few NEW Ricoh KR-5 split fresnel screens on ebay if anyone is interested. Jan, and thanks again for the information.
