jhild Posted May 14, 2010 Share #21 Posted May 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) It´s an adjustment hole for the shutter. Looking inside you´ll find another hole through the electronics with the adjustment device underneath. No special tools required, a screwdriver will do the job perfectly, BUT you have to know what you´re doing. For weather reasons I have replaced this plastic plug on all my M´s with a little screw glued in with some sort of silicon, no raindrops can ever get in there, remember there is lots of electronic just underneath. Xmas Posted May 14, 2010 Share #22 Posted May 14, 2010 If you have the camera indoors in a heated house with normal levels of humidity, and you then take it outside on a cold day and if the dew point of the air in the heated house was higher then the temperature outside you will get condensation, on the cold internal parts of the camera. I'd hope Leica will have conformally coated all the electronics except for battery contacts and ISO dial and back door gold. Noel
