Hi folks,

I am new to rangefinders, how do i attach CPL, ND or ND Grads to a M9 with a 35mm F2 lens.

Are they any thing such as a Lee/Cokin filter attachment for the M lenses?

thanks folks...wonderful forum...I guess I have checked in now...but I will never leave :)

regards

Welcome to the forum, crittertoo, 90% of the time you can simply screw the filter straight onto the lens, no different from dSLR system. But because the M9 has no "preview" function, it will not be easy to use PL filter, instead of guess work you can considering buying Leica's Universal Polarizer (Order number: 13356). BTW the 35mm Summicron has a filter sizing of 39mm and not many filter companies made this size, the most common ones are B+W and Heliopan; hope this helps.

thanks for all your replies. That Leica's Universal Polarizer is certainly worth a look....I had a look at the Lee RF75...i guess that does not give a user a "preview"...so it's oouuchhh time..:)

you guys have been a great help.

thanks folks for all your replies. I ended up with the RF75. So far this is the "inventory" list

a) 60mm adapter for RF75 for the Noc 0,95

B) 39mm adapter for RF75 for the 35 cron

c) pending a custom made adapter for Series 8 - 67mm (for the 21 lux)

d) pending a 67mm adapter for RF75

does Lee make any custom filter (81 b,c) for the RF75 series? I have inquired about the 10X ND but that a negative :(

keep up the posts
