Reason I ask is I want to put a B&W linear pol on lens but if I do I can't attach the screw on lens hood that comes with the Elmar. So...question is, does it matter all that much whether I use the lens hood or not? I presume the pol will be some compentation for the lack of the hood, as it does protrude a bit. Any thoughts??
