ashwinrao1 Posted April 14, 2010 Author Share #21 Â Posted April 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think that the M9 and noctilux 0.95 would be a tight fit in the Fogg flute. You could/should try a Billingham Pola shoulder bag, which will fit the camera, looks handsome, and is a great bag, not all that much bigger than the Flute... Stefan K Posted July 17, 2010 Share #23  Posted July 17, 2010 Hi all,  I've just got my X1 and have also been looking for cases/pouches.  This Zing lens pouch is neoprene and will not be to everyone's taste but it was just what I was looking for:  Zing Small Pouch-Blk/Blk: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo  As you can see from the (iphone) photos below it takes an X1+grip and a viewfinder if required. It's a bit snug length wise but a firm tug of the drawcord (a rubber shock cord) closes it leaving only a tiny aperture.  It affords adequate protection for me and slides in and out without any dials being knocked. The lack of velcro means you can also get your camera out silently. Not bad for 8 GBP. Welcome, dear visitor! nippa Posted July 17, 2010 Share #24 Â Posted July 17, 2010 After initial misgivings I've settled on Leica's own ERC. It's easy to use , packs easily for air travel even fits inside a jacket pocket and protects the camera while in use. Â Just back from a week in Greece and I never needed the viewfinder even on the beach:)
whrwhr Posted August 6, 2010 Share #25 Â Posted August 6, 2010 i am glad that you settled on the case that you felt best suited the camera. i currently just use the sleeve that came with the camera. however it all fits in my 'M classics" bag (i highly recommend), that goes everywhere with me. unfortunately seth no longer does a smaller bag, so it may be the leica case for me as well. so far i have not felt a need for a clip on viewfinder, so your comment is also useful. i am travelling from australia to nyc for 2 weeks so hopefully some street photography as well. Â kind regards whrwhr
eelekim Posted August 17, 2010 Share #26 Â Posted August 17, 2010 I don't have the grip and I don't want one. The handling without the grip is good enough to me. But I've got an X1 viewfinder recently. The lovely Leica leather case doesn't fit now. Â I found this bag at home. A really cheap looking one, especially when compared with the Leica leather case. Â Anyway, it fits well. I don't like the velcro though. You can imagine how noisy it is when opening the bag...
jlroyer Posted August 19, 2010 Share #27 Â Posted August 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Where did you buy the wrist strap. I also have this same bag, bought previously for a Leica CM film camera. My leather neck strap which came with my X1 won't work well in this bag. CFoo Posted December 22, 2010 Share #29 Â Posted December 22, 2010 Hi Ashwin, Â The Fogg Flute is indeed a handsome looking and quality carrier befitting for the X1. I'm currently using a Crumpler 2-million to hold my X1 and D-Lux4 whenever I'm out travelling. But in view that I'm getting a viewfinder and AA half case soon, I think it would be challenging to squeeze both cameras in. The Fogg Flute looks really nice and I might just snap it. Â One other question is - your experience using the CV35 viewfinder via-a-vis the Leica 36mm viewfinder, does the difference between 35mm and 36mm cause any problems for you? In terms of visual quality, how does CV35 match up to the Leica version? I'm quite keen to get he CV35 as it is currently in stock and its half the price of Leica. Your advise would be most appreciated. Â I've been a faithful follower of your articles on Steve Huff's blog as I find your sharing very practical and inspirational!
